Rosies rampant ride!
One rainy day Rosie fell to the ground at the point where the Thames river start. As her life began a stone marker marked the start of her travels. All around her were bushes, grass, fallen logs, gooey mud and flourishing trees. She travelled with high hopes for a fun adventure. This was the start of Rosies journey.
As she travelled longer she heard rustling trees, wind that pushed the water, she also saw a man on a kayak sing "Sweet home Alabama!" This caused Rosie to giggle quite a bit. She then realised that they were in the uppercourse. She could see a waterfall in the near distance. She tried to warn the man but her voice was not loud enough.
Her journey continued. She passed through multiple areas. The most notable were small villages as well as small towns. She heard lots of new and intresting sounds such as chattering people, creaking bridges, cars and boats.
Rosie has travelled futher and futher where she ended up in a small city. She unfortunately can see the horrors of pollution. She spent more time there, she can see more and more rubbish being dumped. Rosie could not wait to leave this place.
She travelled towards a bigger city and can already see the problem getting worse. She could see all her droplet friends getting sick. The toxins in the plastic poisoned them. Rosie told them "Come friends these toxins are not good for us, we need to get out of here."
So they ran as fast as they could to get to a safer area. They followed wherever the river took them. They all travelled longer and longer as fast as they could and they managed to get to a new enviroment. This new place was called the ocean. They were all safe and sound, worry free. Oh well atleast for now.
To be continued...

Week 6 reflection
This week I did a lot of thing such a swimming practice, learning such as maths, literacy, inquiry, and RE (Religious Education) ECT. Not only that today is a pool party and tomorrow is the semi finals for the swimming contestants which I am included in.
The things I enjoyed this week were chatting with my mate, swimming, and doing my work with my mates and seeing what happenened when we got a question wrong because it was hilrious to see them rage at the fact they got the question wrong.
Something I found challenging was swimming because although I made it in dosen't mean that I'm good at doing the strokes.
I have worked on my goals by watching videos at home to help expand my learning tremendously.
The Values of Mercy means to show mercy and integrity towards your friends and others. I have shown this by always helping my friends with anything their unsure of.
I am looking forward to learning and expand my knowledge even more and chilling and playing with my friends.

Chapter Chat questions. The Hunger Games
This year our teacher is reading the Hunger Games book to us, the book is by Suzanne Colins. This book has won four awards, The Hal Clement award, California young reader: Young adult, Dorothy Canfield Fisher Children's Book Award and the Fantasy & Science Fiction - Young Adult. Every now and then we will be doing a chapter chat which is reviewing the book and making sure that we understand and are caught up. We will show this by answering the questions that are about that chapters we read. We picked 4 questions and here are my answers to those questions.
Katniss and Peeta handle the shock of being selected for the Hunger Games in two very different ways. How does Katniss react and how does Peeta react?
Katniss was feeling frightened although not showing it.
Peeta was the bakers son and because Peeta was buff from lifting the breads and pastries he was still crying and he wasn't afaid to show it.
Are regular people allowed to travel from one District to another?
No. It is ilegal to travel through districts unless it is formal buisness.
Why are mockingjays comforting to Katniss?
Because when she was younger Katniss and her dad would sing a lot and not only that, the birds were a type of species that could copy someones coversation and mimic it as well. So the bird would always comfort Katniss because the mockingjays would always copy here Dads songs.
Effie angers Katniss during dinner, so what does Katniss do to purposely annoy her?
Effie Trinket was the lady taking Katniss to the games and Effie annoyed Katniss by telling her a story about 2 ill mannered people and Effie said they were disgusting, so to annoy Effie, Katniss showed bad table manners by wiping her dirty fingers on the table cloth and she also ate her food with her hands.

Follow up key word hunt.
Last week we did a follow up based on a school journal and the story was called, Rongoa for the land. We had to read the book. In it we had to get the key words and phrases and write them down.
Some of the key words were
Makuka
Ancestors
Preservation. Those are some of the key words in the story or are inferred in the story. We also had to summarise the story and here it is.
Long ago people from Hawaii. They made a plan called Ahikoroa to help the plant life. They ended up thriving with a massive community.

Word of the week
Week 4 reflection
The highlight of my week was Mahi Tahi. We were making ads to advertise Mahi Tahi. This was my highlight because my group and I had so much fun just filming the scenes and we all had a lot of laughs while making the ad.
The challenge of my week was swimming. Although I am decent at swimming I somehow banged my head on the end of the swimming pool causing me to get a lump on my head and a mild headache.
This week I have walked in the footsteps of Jesus by supporting and encouraging others to give swimmung their best.
I have shown the Mercy Values by helping the younger ones and playing with them and entertaining them.

Week 3 reflection
The highlight of my week was swimming because it was a very hot and stuffy day and jumping in the pool was so refreshing and cooling. My second highlight was staying home, although I had to do work at home it was still calming and relaxing.
The thing I found most challenging was having to persevere through the sickness. I was very grateful to have healed in such a short period of time.
Something I want to work on next week is completing my work faster and more in depth work.
I showed the values of mercy when I included heaps of people to come and join me.
Something I am looking forward to is going to Auckland with my family because we are going to a golfing area and rainbows end.

Week Reflection week 2
At the start of week two we got straight into learning and although we had to learn it was still fun catching up with my mates and getting my work done. We did a lot of work involving history (Treaty Of Waitangi) maths such as inquiry as maths and ECT. I also started music last week and I am trying to learn the chello.
The highlight of my week was starting music and learning the chello with my class mates and other students. It is fun because I am taking on a new challenge and it exciting.
Something I found challenging was doing the Treaty work that we had to do. It was tricky because not only did we have to answer the questions, but we also had to colour and out 10 puzzle pieces which strained my arms.
Something I am looking forward to is hanging out with my mates and getting my work done and having fun around the school.

Week Review
At the start of the week I felt thrilled because it was the first day of school and I got to see all my friends and start school after six weeks of holiday. I also felt kinda sad given the fact that this is going to be the last year of going to this school.
The highlight of my week was the dress contest we did in piwakawaka because it was hilarious to see all the people in funky and silly dresses. As well as changing from a different class, It was very thrilling to change classes because I can do higher level work and expand my knowledge even more.
Something I found challenging was standing outside for and hour holding a sign tiring my arms and atleast I got help and didn't have to strain myself more than I already did.
I am really looking forward to working with new class mates and expanding my knowledge as we go along with the year.
