My Book Report

The past few weeks my brother and I have been writing book reports. We having chosen a book and read through the chapters. We have done this a extra work during qurantine and I enjoy it a lot because the book I chose is really intresting with major plot twist and exciting moments.

The book I have chosen is Black Panther The Young prince. I have chosen this book because it is intresting has a lot of cool and sad moments and is a fun intresting book to read. As I read the book I imagine the characters and what they would be like if I knew them.

I enjoy the book because of all the funny moments, sad moments and the awkward moments. The book has me hooked and makes me want to know everything as well aswondering what it would be like in that world.

I really enjoy writing these book reports and I can't wait to find out whats next.

St Joseph day

On friday last week we had a really fun event called St josephs day. This day is where we celebrate the life of St Joseph.

I had lots of fun because we had fun and challenging games that exercised us and were heaps of fun.

The speacial character team and house captains leaded the events and I really apreciate the hard work they put into the event.

100 word story

A couple of weeks ago my class and I tried to do something different than usuall.

Instead of writing normal story, we wrote 100 word storys which are storys that we try and finish with 100 words. Some 100 word story have relieving ends and some are cliff hangers.

My story was made up. What I enjoyed about the process was letting my imagination run rampant and writing down whatever I chose. what I found challenging was packing all my ideas into an 100 word story. I found very fun and I highly recommend trying it.

This is my 100 word story.

Crash! as lightning and thunder revolved all around me. It was a dark night, no one was awake, no one except me. I peeked out my window when I saw an ominous mysterious man. Crash! The storm was getting louder. Then as the man raised his hands in the air the storm suddenly stopped and I thought to myself "Is this man God?" I blinked then he had disappeared. I started to think it was a dream. I turned around and was shocked. I stumbled back and the man whispered "Why are you awake?"

My Heart Art

A few weeks ago my class and I did heart art but the background and the foreground was checkers.  The colour on the inside of the heart had to be different than the colour on the outside of the art. What I found challenging was colouring in the squares, it was time consuming it hurt my wrist and I had to sharpen the pencil alot. What I found fun was how rewarding it was when you finish and doing the black outlines.
At the start we first drew our hearts then after that we did a checker lines all over the page. Then after that we had to colour in the background of the foreground (the heart) I satrted with the heart then moved on to the background then after that I finished with my black outlines. I found it entertaining and I really enjoy the outcome of my art

Me and my Buddy

This is me and my buddy Nigel from kiwi class. We had a great time making this photo. all the words around our face are the things that we both like. I had extreme fun learning about Nigel he is a great and compassionate kid and it was amazing hanging out with him. We have so much in common and we really got to know each other. It was great fun and we had a blast.

Scissors Santa and the boys

My friends and I had some fun making a film about scissors me and the boys got creative and called one of the characters scissors Santa and we just had fun in general.

The Amazing Octopus

What big but able to become as small as they want. If you didn't know it's the wonderful and amazing
Octopus. With their nine intelligent brains, they are indeed the most intellectual of the world's
invertebrates.

Protection

Octopies are very protective of themselves. Normally an Octopie would attack charging at them headfirst
or squirts ink into the attacker's face. Octopie also protect themselves by camouflaging into the natural
environment until the predator loses interest and leaves. Octopies can also swim very quickly and
efficiently so they can leave attackers miles behind. All Octopies are venomous so if the bite the
attacker will be dead in mere minutes.

Abilities

Octopies has multiple abilities. One of their most famous abilities is to quickly squeeze through small
gaps with ease. The octopi have a unique set of abilities but with their, in nine intellectual brains, the
octopi can choose the best abilities for each scenario for example.  When a Predators attacks the
octopi can camouflage swim away or infect them with very poisonous venom.

Diet

Octopi have a medium-ranged diet of consumables but the Octopi would prefer to munch on crabs. The
Octopi also eat many other things such as mollusks shrimps and much more. Octopies diet doesn´t have
much of a food range in it but it still survives on the little things they eat. 

That comes to show how amazing Octopus can be. I hoped I changed your mind about Octopies if you
did not like them already. This is a few of my reasons on why Octopies are amazing in my eyes. They're
absolutely magnificent

Our Annual Cross Country Event

I heard the cheering whenever a person came rushing past the line. I saw the very muddy and poopy track. I felt the mud sink through my feet. I smelt the gross and repellent smell of the cow and horse poop. I wondered if the next cross country would be as muddy.

Holiday Happiness

I saw the awesome movie Spider-Man.

I felt chills rushing through my body from the excitement of the movie.

I wondered how long it took to make such an epic and amazing movie.
I heard the irritating and horrible sound of the squeaking trampolines at the trampoline park.

I smelt the amazingness of the homemade burritos that were so good it´s like taking a bite out of Heaven.

Reversibility

This week I've been learning about reversibility.
Reversibility is a way to make subtraction equations easier by just reversing the equations into an addition equation for example:

let's take 3267-1352 then let's reverse it
into

1352+ =3267 once you've reversed the equation then figure out what the equation is

Add up the numbers you got then voila you've got your answer
so your answer

1352+ =3267
+8
+40
+600
+1000 =1915 so
+200
+60

+7

So if you now know how to use reversibility then try to use it when you have a subtraction equation and it will make maths so much better.

My goals

My end of term goal for literacy is to be able to use punctuation is the right positioning. My end of term goal for maths is to be able to do my times tables and division right of the bat. My end of term goal for sport is to exercise more and get more fit for athletic!!!

My New Goals

My new goals for this week is sentences for surface features and organasation for surface features. The reason i need to work on sentences is to improve on my punctuation and story settings. I also need to improve on being more organized like I need to make my storys make sense, and also I need them to help me put my words in the right place. Example for organasation I use my paragraphs which group my ideas to together, I use appropriate linking words between my Paragraphs. (Words examples: hence, therefore, in conclusion, furthermore, as a result of, on the contray, nevertheless).
I miss a line between paragraphs.
I sequense some of my paragraphs in away that makes sense ( with a begining middle and a end).

most of my sentences are correct:
correct tense, correct subject/verb, make sense
I try to usea varietyof sentense structure
simple compond and complex.
I try to vary the length of my sentenses for effects.
I use varioustypes of sentenses. (for example statment, question, command, exclamation).
Oh also a maths goal is to work on my times tables and fractions because i have trouble doing them sometimes

My improvments

This week i improved on my promblem solving with Mr.Gunn. Even though we didin't get the answer we did hard challenging working out so i'm going to try to work this answer out at home . This week I nailed my world records. Because i took something easy (which was the ABC) and i turned it into something pretty hard. So i can't wait to do these world record's.s

My Personality

 Today i'm going to be talking about all my favourite things in the world.  To start it off my favourite my favourite movie is Jumanji because of the hummor, action, and adventure. My favourite food is a burrito because of its mushyness and it bursts with flavor. My favourite book is the amazing Captin underpants because of its hummor the reason its funny is because of all the hilarious name's like wegie magie, Captin underpants, and Dr Poopypants. My favourite place in New Zealand is my home because of the confort of my couch and the warmness of my bed, Lucky last my most favourite thing in the world is my family because when ever i'm around them i feel loved.
